Diversity and Inclusion: Valuing the African-American Woman Lawyer’s Experience

The AAWL presents a virtual program on the value of diversity in the legal profession and the experience of African American woman lawyers in Alaska. Justice Dana Fabe and Judge Pamela Washington will co-moderate a panel discussion featuring African American female lawyers in Alaska with varied backgrounds and practice areas. The panel will discuss their legal career paths and the challenges faced in the recruitment, retention, and advancement in law for women of color, as well as the value of being more intentional in encouraging diversity and inclusion.
