Lane Tucker is a partner at Stoel Rives, LLP with nearly 30 years of experience in federal government contracts, SBA matters, white collar prosecution and defense, and construction litigation. She focuses her practice on all aspects of government contracting with deep experience in the Federal Acquisition Regulations, SBA regulations, the Contract Disputes Act, the False Claims Act and qui tam defense; bid and size protest litigation before the GAO, the Court of Federal Claims and the SBA; audit and compliance issues; and internal and external investigations. She has handled to resolution hundreds of contract claims, bid protests and fraud investigations on a wide variety of matters and has extensive experience in the litigation and resolution of construction disputes.
Prior to entering private practice, Lane was an Assistant U.S. Attorney, serving as the Civil Chief for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Anchorage (2002-2006). In that capacity, she supervised the Civil Division and personally handled all of the office's civil fraud, qui tam and criminal health care fraud cases. Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney's Office Lane was a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. (1991-2002), where she represented DOD and federal civilian agencies in Contract Disputes Act, False Claims Act and bid protest cases before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and handled federal appeals related to personnel, pay and benefits issues. Prior to that, Lane was an Assistant General Counsel with the U.S. General Services Administration (1987-1991), where she represented the GSA in contract claims and bid protests before federal district courts, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the GSBCA and the GAO, and served as the agency's legal expert for lease and lease-purchase procurements.
