Melanie Osborne

Melanie joined Alyeska Pipeline Service Company as Senior Counsel in 2023.  She supports several technology departments, Ethics and Compliance, Claims and Insurance, as well as other departments who operate and maintain the 800-mile Trans Alaska Pipeline System.

Melanie received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Justice and Psychology from UAA and her law degree with a concentration in Dispute Resolution from the University of Washington.  She became a member of the Alaska Bar in 1999 and clerked for Superior Court Presiding Judge Elaine Andrews.  Prior to joining Alyeska, Melanie spent her career representing tribal organizations at Chugach Alaska Corporation as EVP Chief Legal and Administrative Officer, Ahtna Inc. as VP and General counsel, NANA Regional as Deputy General Counsel, and at the law firms of Sonosky Chambers and Stoel Rives with litigation and employment focus areas.

 Melanie was previously co-Chair of AAWL from 2011 to 2015 and re-joined the Board in 2021.  She also sits on the Boards of ALSC and The Nature Conservancy.  Melanie married her high school sweetheart, and they have 2 adult children and two dogs.
