AAWL has a diverse membership within the Third Judicial District of Alaska.
Per AAWL's bylaws, in order to become an AAWL member, you must (1) be a licensed or retired attorney, judge, judicial law clerk, law student, or holder of a J.D.; (2) be a resident of or hold a bar license in the State of Alaska; and (3) pay the annual membership fee.
Membership is not required to attend most AAWL events, but event fees are often waived or reduced for members, and some events are members-only.
Our membership cycle runs from July to June. Annual dues are $35. Our membership application form is available online (Click Here); after you submit the form, please follow the prompt to pay securely online. If you have difficulty accessing the form or payment platform, please contact us through the website. Membership dues are waived for judicial clerks and attorneys in their first year of practice.
